Societal Trauma & "Parts" Work

Societal trauma is the result of experiencing and re-experiencing collective distressing events - school shootings, political unrest, foreign and domestic wars, etc. This trauma leaves us in a state of hypervigilance in our everyday environment. How do we support ourselves and our communities to navigate these issues that continue to traumatize our society?

We have to do our work in a collective fashion. Our work can look like learning how to grieve and cope in a way that is authentic and acknowledges all "parts" of ourselves. With this newfound self-awareness, we can use this insight to make others feel accepted and whole as they are - further expounding upon healing in the greater community.
